Vol. 481 No. 1

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Charles Flanagan

Question:

222 Mr. Flanagan asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the current position on the proposed refurbishment and extension of the garda station at Tullamore, County Offaly; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15539/97]

: Some work has been undertaken at Tullamore in the last year to improve fire safety which was a major concern. A major extension to the station has been planned for some years and the site of the old fire station was bought for this purpose. While it is not possible to say at this time when the project might commence it will be progressed as quickly as possible having regard to overall priorities and the availability of finance.
