246 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will issue a full list of names of all appointments and the State organisation to which the appointments were made in relation to each appointment made to bodies under the aegis of his Department during the months of May and June 1997; the period of the appointment; and the date on which the next appointments will be made for each body. 268 Ms Hanafin asked the Minister for Education and Science the number of appointments made to boards or bodies under the aegis of his Department between 1 May 1997 and 26 June 1997; the names of the appointees; the boards to which they were appointed; and the number of board vacancies which remained vacant after 26 June, but which could have been filled prior to 26 June. Commission on School Accommodation Needs

The following were appointed on 17 June 1997 to act on a Technical Working Group under the Commission which will focus on planning, criteria and procedures for future school provision at first and second level:

No positions on the National Youth Work Advisory Committee remained vacant on 26 June.

The term of office of each member of the National Youth Work Advisory Committee is five years. The next appointments are not, therefore, due to be made until June 2002.

School of Celtic Studies (Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies)

The following were appointed on 21 May 1997 as members of the Governing Board of the School of Celtic Studies:

On 19 June 1997 Mr. Frank Leddin was appointed as a member of the Board of the Higher Education Authority for a period of five years.

The term of office of five other members of the Board of the Higher Education Authority expires on 16 November 1997.
