Vol. 481 No. 2

Written Answers. - Hospitals Development.

John Browne

Question:

103 Mr. Browne (Wexford) asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason for the ongoing delay in starting works on the proposed reconstruction and new extension to St. John's Hospital, Enniscorthy, County Wexford, as already approved. [15810/97]

I understand that a planning brief for the redevelopment of St. John's Hospital, Enniscorthy, will shortly be submitted to my Department for approval.

The question of proceeding with the appointment of a design team and the remaining stages of the planning for this project will be considered in the light of the availability of capital funding in 1998.
