132 Ms Shortall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he will give details of all persons who were granted passports under the passports for investment scheme since the scheme came into operation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16041/97]
Notice of issue of certificates of naturalisation is published in Iris Oifigiúil in the prescribed manner. This has been done in respect of all persons naturalised up to the end of 1996, including those naturalised in accordance with the investment-based scheme. Details of all persons who have been naturalised since then are being prepared for publication. It is not the practice to identify separately persons naturalised under the provisions of the investment-based scheme from other persons naturalised or, for commercial reasons, the companies in which investments were made.
