Vol. 481 No. 3

Written Answers. - Tallaght Hospital.

Alan Shatter

Question:

107 Mr. Shatter asked the Minister for Health and Children the projected date for the opening of Tallaght Hospital, Dublin 24; and whether he has satisfied himself that the hospital will be fully equipped at the projected date of opening to provide all the medical services which it will be required to undertake. [16015/97]

Discussions are ongoing between my Department and the Adelaide and Meath Hospital, Dublin incorporating the National Children's Hospital concerning the opening of the new hospital at Tallaght. These discussions are geared towards the earliest possible opening date and will be finalised shortly.

I am satisfied that the hospital will be fully equipped on opening date to provide all the medical services which it will be required to undertake.
