108 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called for a knee replacement operation in view for the fact that she is on a waiting list for the past three years. [16016/97]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.

109 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called for cataract surgery in view of the fact he has lost sight totally in one eye and his sight in his other eye is extremely bad. [16017/97]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
