232 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he will continue in 1998 to give the same level of funding to the Drugs Task Force to allow the area task forces to build on the work started by them in 1997; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16082/97]

The Government is committed to continuing and building on the work initiated by the Local Drugs Task Forces.

The levels of funding to do this next year and in future years will be determined in the Estimates process.
