Vol. 481 No. 7

Written Answers. - Army Pensions.

Question:

136 Mr. Hayes asked the Minister for Defence if he will examine the application of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 24 in relation to a request for a disability pension under the Army Pension Act; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16888/97]

This application for a disability pension has raised legal issues which are under consideration by my Department and on which legal advice has been sought. Every effort is being made to resolve these issues as quickly as possible to enable a final decision to be made on the pension application.
