Vol. 481 No. 7

Written Answers. - Residential Care.

Gay Mitchell

Question:

190 Mr. G. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will have investigations made into the case of a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 in order to find a suitable residential home for her which is convenient to her elderly mother who will want to visit her daughter. [16967/97]

As the Deputy will be aware, the provision of suitable services to persons with a mental handicap in County Dublin is the responsibility of the Eastern Health Board.

I have asked the chief executive officer of the Eastern Health Board to examine this matter and to respond directly to the Deputy.
