Vol. 481 No. 7

Written Answers. - Juvenile Prostitution.

Dan Neville

Question:

192 Mr. Neville asked the Minister for Health and Children the proposals, if any, to deal with the reported case of juvenile prostitution in Waterford; the proposals, if any, he has to have investigations made into the extent of the problem; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17136/97]

The provision of child care and family support services to persons in County Waterford is the responsibility of the South-Eastern Health Board. I have had my officials ask the chief executive of the board to reply directly to the Deputy on this matter as soon as possible.
