109 Dr. Upton asked the Taoiseach the plans, if any, he has to mark and celebrate the millennium on 1 January 2000; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17132/97]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 11 and 109 together.
I am currently considering, in consultation with relevant Ministers, the most appropriate way to commemorate the millennium. As soon as these considerations are complete, an announcement will be made on the Government's approach to commemorating it.
