129 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Education and Science the reason for the delay in the provision of a toilet block for a school (details supplied) in County Kerry which was sanctioned in 1994. [17346/97]
My Department has approved grant assistance towards the cost of providing a new toilet block at the school referred to by the Deputy. The delay in having the works executed has resulted from pressure of work in both the Office of Public Works and my Department's building unit.
An official from the Office of Public Works, Cork, visited the school last week to finalise the planning work for the scheme.
