61 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the consultants, if any, he has commissioned to do work for his Department since he took office; and, if so, the nature and cost of these commissions. [17288/97]
Since becoming Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation, I have awarded two consultancy contracts. I have appointed Mr. Pádraig Ó hUiginn, on a part-time basis, to provide consultancy advice relating to the work of my Department at an annual fee of £1,000. I have also appointed Mr. Bart Cronin as a press and media consultant at a fee of £500 per week, an extension of whose initial contract is currently under negotiation.
