Question:78 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive their REPs payment in view of the fact that the delay is causing financial hardship. [17379/97]

As the Deputy was informed in reply to the same question on 30 September 1997, a field inspection was carried out in this case on 23 September 1997 and on foot of that farm visit a number of queries were raised in respect of the plan to which a response is awaited. A payment cannot be made by my Department until it is satisfied that this application is in order.
