Vol. 482 No. 1

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Noonan

Question:

79 Mr. Noonan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will pay a 22 month beef premium to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17381/97]

The person named applied for seven animals on 7 April 1997 under the 1997 22 month special beef premium scheme. Three of the animals listed had conflicting dates of birth with their ten month applications. Based on the dates of birth the herdowner had listed on his ten month application, these three animals did not qualify for the 22 month premium. Therefore, under the terms and conditions of the scheme these three animals were rejected and a reduced payment will issue on the remaining eligible animals.
