Vol. 482 No. 1

Written Answers. - Free Travel Scheme.

John Perry

Question:

94 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will grant a travel pass to a person (details supplied) in County Leitrim in view of her serious medical problems which require regular travel to Dublin hospitals and in view of the limited income of this young family. [17395/97]

As the provision of assistance with travel costs for eligible persons in County Leitrim is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board in the first instance, I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
