75 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will be called for a hip replacement operation in view of the fact that she is on a waiting list for the past two years. [17532/97]
The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Sligo is the statutory responsibility of the North-Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the North-Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly as a matter of urgency.
