Vol. 482 No. 3

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Michael Ring

Question:

159 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Galway will be paid his farm improvement grant. [18191/97]

As it is necessary for the applicant to establish that his farm enterprise has minimum labour requirements of one man work unit (MWU) to be eligible under the scheme of installation aid, his file cannot be finalised until after the end of the production year — 31 December 1997. I expect this matter to be finalised shortly after that.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

160 Mrs. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if it is proposed to include questions regarding applicant's age in proposals regarding REP scheme on the application forms for sheep premium due out in November 1997. [18208/97]

Questions regarding the applicant's age will not be included on the 1998 sheep headage application forms.
