238 Ms McManus asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government when his Department will give sanction to Wicklow County Council to go to tender regarding Arklow swimming pool; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17697/97]

Revised contract documents for the Arklow swimming pool are awaited in my Department from Arklow Urban District Council. My Department is not in a position to issue sanction to the council to proceed to tender stage pending receipt and approval of these documents.
