O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the excellent work being undertaken by the west Cork ITN representing 13 primary schools from various regions in west Cork; and if he will grant formal recognition to the network to pilot emerging advanced technologies in education. My attention has been drawn to the highly-innovative work being undertaken by the West Cork Information Technology Network (ITN).

Officials of my Department are currently examining ways in which the network, which represents 13 schools from various regions of West Cork, can be facilitated in the further development of their project.
