Question:123 Mr. Penrose asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when his Department will grant the application for the farm retirement scheme in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary. [17656/97]
Written Answers. - Farm Retirement Scheme.
The application was received on 2 July 1997 in the local farm development service (FDS) office but has not yet been processed due to the demands on staff resources.
I have made arrangements to ensure that where undue delays occur they do not result in the applicants being unfairly penalised, by having pension commencement dates adjusted to take account of any such delays.
