Written Answers - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John Perry

Question:

94 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon will be called for a hip replacement operation in view of the fact that he is in terrible discomfort. [18324/97]

The provision of medical treatment to eligible persons in County Roscommon is the statutory responsibility of the Western Health Board in the first instance. I have asked the chief executive officer of the Western Health Board to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
