Written Answers - Proposed Galway Amenity Park.

118 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his Department has given consideration to the proposed amenity park between South Park, Galway and Mutton Island which would incorporate the causeway to the proposed sewerage treatment plant; if so, if funds will be made available from his Department towards the cost of this park; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [18380/97]

It is the responsibility of the relevant sanitary authority to put forward proposals for the design and specification of waste water treatment plants. No proposal of the type referred to has been received from Galway Corporation.
