169 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children if his Department will advise health authorities of the Government decision that the pensions of retired public servants would be based on a parity basis in order that payment of pensions can be proceeded with as early as possible. Minister for Health and Children (Mr. Cowen):

My Department will be notifying health agencies as soon as possible of the Government decision in question in order to enable payment of the pensions involved to be proceeded with without delay.
