Michael Joe Cosgrave
Question:207 Mr. Cosgrave asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the reason for the delay by the Garda Síochána in sending a report to the Director of Public Prosecutions on an alleged rape in a hospital (details supplied) in Dublin 3 on 5 June 1997; the reason no one has to date been charged with the incident in spite of the fact that the attack was witnessed by a hospital staff member and a suspect was detained at the scene by gardaí and brought in for questioning; if he will give details of the current position in this regard.
