83 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Finance if he will give details of the proposals, if any, he has received from the Department of Arts Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands for amendment of the section 35 tax incentives for investment in the film industry; if so, the action he proposes taking in this regard; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands has informed me that she has received a submission from IBEC on film industry matters and is currently having meetings with various film industry interests. I would expect that she will contact me should any issue concerning the section 35 tax measure arise following her consideration of the matters raised in the submission or discussed at these meetings.
