Vol. 483 No. 3

Written Answers. - Rape Crisis Centres.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

213 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children if he will ensure that sufficient funding is made available in the forthcoming budget through the Southern Health Board to enable the Kerry Rape Crisis Centre to receive increased funding in 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20296/97]

The provision of funding for rape crisis centres is a matter for the health boards in the first instance. I am not in a position to comment on the availability of funding for this centre in respect of 1998.
