Vol. 483 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Services.

Pádraic McCormack

Question:

214 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for Health and Children his response, if any, to the application by Clifden District Hospital for digital X-ray imaging facilities; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20299/97]

As the Deputy will be aware, the provision of X-ray services at Clifden district hospital is a matter for the Western Health Board.

I understand that the Western Health Board is currently considering a proposal from one of the medical officers attached to Clifden District Hospital in relation to the provision of digital imaging services involving teleradiology at that hospital.
