Vol. 483 No. 3

Written Answers. - Residence Permits.

Seán Haughey

Question:

336 Mr. Haughey asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if he has made a decision regarding an application by a person (details supplied) for a permit to allow him study in this country; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [20174/97]

As a matter of general policy it is not the practice to comment on the specific details of individual cases. However, I can tell the Deputy that the person concerned was given permission to study in Ireland from 7 October 1996 — 30 June 1997. It is my information that the person has now left the State.
