I propose to take Questions Nos. 98, 99 and 102 together.

Court statistics are not compiled in such a way as to provide the information sought by the Deputy. However, Garda records show that during 1996 there were 137 offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act recorded as indictable offences. Forty are recorded as having resulted in convictions and the value of drugs is recorded as having exceeded £10,000 in two of these cases.
