Question:

140 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his Department will allow a late application in the name of a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny, under the agrimonetary package regarding animals sold and slaughtered in the period 1 April 1997 to 10 June 1997 in view of the fact that the application was lodged three days after the closing date on 10 November 1997 and there were some technical difficulties involved in completing the application. Arrangements are being made to have the application of the person named accepted. If the application is found to be in order, he will be paid before year end.

141 Mr. M. Brennan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason a ten month special beef premium grant has not been paid to a person (details supplied) in County Sligo. [22833/97]

The ten month special beef premium application of the person named was subject to an inspection. The application will be processed for payment as soon as the inspection is completed.
