Vol. 485 No. 2

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jack Wall

Question:

332 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the funding, if any, to be provided under the recreation sports scheme grant to a club (details supplied) in County Kildare in view of the financial constraints the club is operating under; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22697/97]

A grant of £4,000 was allocated to the club in November 1996. In line with standard procedures, payment of the grant is subject to the club providing specific documentation and information confirming that the development carried out complies with the terms and conditions of the scheme. On the basis of documentation and invoices submitted, payment of an amount of £1,351 was made to the club on 9 December 1997. The balance of the grant will be paid to the club on receipt of the required outstanding documentation.
