Question:117 Mr. Bell asked the Minister for Defence the number of clergymen and women engaged full-time or otherwise as chaplains to the Defence Forces; the denominations involved; and the salaries paid in this regard. [23296/97]
Written Answers. - Defence Forces Chaplains.
There are 19 full-time chaplains serving with the Defence Forces, 18 of whom are Roman Catholic and one Church of Ireland. Other chaplains are engaged from time to time as the occasion demands.
