266 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the information that exists regarding the dumping of radioactive materials in the Irish Sea at various periods over the past thirty years by British, Russian and United States submarines. [2039/98]
I am not aware of any information regarding the dumping of radioactive materials in the Irish Sea by British, Russian or United States submarines.
I would be most concerned if any dumping of this nature had taken place. If the Deputy is aware of any information relating to such incidents I would be happy to investigate the matter further.
