273 Cecilia Keaveney asked the Minister for the Marine and Natural Resources the scope, if any, there is to work interdepartmentally to finance major industrial port development in north east Donegal in the interests of job creation in view of the potential strategic importance of port access in this peripheral location. I understand that Donegal County Council is currently considering various port development possibilities for Greencastle Harbour, including the provision of passenger ferry facilities and industrial units. My Department will give full consideration to any proposals put forward by the county council, in conjunction with any other appropriate Government Departments and bodies.
