Vol. 486 No. 1

Written Answers. - Charitable Donations.

Question:

349 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Defence if he will give details of moneys given by his Department to charities for each of the years from 1990 to date in 1998; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1236/98]

It has not been possible to trace any record of my Department having paid any money to charities in the years in question. As the Deputy will be aware, the Department pays an annual grant-in-aid a to the Irish Red Cross Society. Details are given in the published Estimates for the Public Service.
