400 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the Acts and provisions of Acts which are not in force due to the fact that a commencement order has not been made; whether an order will be made, if so, when this will occur; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1077/98]

In the case of legislation for which I have responsibility the position is as follows:

Diseases of Animals Act, 1966

Section 18 has not yet been brought into force and there are no plans at present to make a commencement order to bring it into operation.
