424 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a decision will be made on a REP scheme appeal for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo in view of the fact that his tank was only half full when the inspection was carried out. [1393/98]

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh):

An appeals system allows for an independent inspection on the farm. It is expected the inspection in this case will be carried out within the next two weeks. When the report is received the appeals committee will consider the case and issue its conclusions to the person concerned.
