425 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a decision will be made on the appeal for a person (details supplied) in County Sligo in view of the fact that he is under extreme financial pressure and all payments have been restricted. [1394/98]

Minister for Agriculture and Food (Mr. Walsh):

The herdowner has lodged an appeal with the headage and premia appeals unit concerning his 1996 cattle headage/suckler cow premium application. The herdowner's appeal is currently being dealt with and he will be notified of the outcome shortly.
