Liam Aylward

Question:

447 Mr. Aylward asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if his Department will arrange payment of a suckler cow premium to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny. [1730/98]

The person named will be paid his 1997 suckler cow premium advance within the next week.

Breeda Moynihan-Cronin

Question:

448 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will indicate when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be paid his cattle headage, sheep headage and suckler cow premium grants; the reason for the delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1768/98]

The area aid application of the person named was randomly selected for inspection in accordance with the EU regulations. The results of this inspection have now been received and processed. Payment in respect of all sheep headage due has now issued and all other outstanding payments will issue within the next two weeks.

Question:

449 Mrs. B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Kerry will be paid his cattle headage and sheep headage grant; and the reason for the delay in payment of same. [1770/98]

The person named has now been paid £1,752 in respect of all 1997 sheep headage due and £3,276.67 in respect of all 1997 cattle headage due.

Question:

450 Mr. M. Kitt asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when beef premium payments will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Galway. [1793/98]

The person concerned applied for the ten and 22 month special beef premium in respect of a total of 59 animals on 22 May 1997. The case was selected for on-farm inspection. The birth of one of the animals applied on had not been registered with the calf registration service. This problem has now been rectified and the application has been cleared for payment within the next week.

Question:

451 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the reason persons (details supplied) in County Mayo are still awaiting sheep headage payments following a disastrous year with flooding and loss. [1820/98]

The area aid application of the person named was randomly selected for inspection in accordance with EU regulations. The results of this inspection have now been received and processed. Payment in respect of all sheep headage due has now issued.
