527 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children, further to Parliamentary Question No. 256 of 2 December 1997, when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will have works approved and completed under the special housing aid for the elderly scheme for which he applied some time ago in view of the fact that he is living in terrible conditions and that no reply issued from the Western Health Board as a result of the Parliamentary Question. As the Deputy is aware, the administration of the housing aid scheme for the elderly in County Mayo is a matter for the Western Health Board. In this regard, I understand that the Western Health Board recently issued a response to the Deputy.
