725 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands the number and dates of meetings that have taken place between officials from her Department and from the Department of Education and Science on the topic of a centre for the performing arts being provided in Dublin including a conservatoire as outlined in An Action Programme for the Millennium; and if she will make a statement on the matter. Minister for Arts, Heritage, Gaeltacht and the Islands (Miss de Valera):

There is ongoing contact between relevant officials and Ministers with a view to establishing a working group to examine the issues involved in providing this facility. It is envisaged that such a group will become operational within a matter of weeks.
