Question:

748 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the proposals for legislation being prepared under the auspices of his Department where heads have not been approved to date by Government; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [1117/98]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 741 and 748 together.

Details of the legislative proposals of my Department are as contained in the Government's legislation programme for this session announced by the Chief Whip on 23 January 1998. Specific Government approval for heads of Bills has been obtained in the case of the Proceeds of Crime (Amendment) Bill, Jurisdiction of Courts and Enforcement of Judgements Bill, Family Law (International Protection of Children) Bill and Criminal Law (Insanity) Bill, all of which I expect to publish this year. The remaining Bills contained in my Department's legislation programme are at various stages of preparation.
