Question:823 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation the current position regarding allocations under the recreational amenity grants scheme (details supplied); and when these grants will be paid. [2030/98]
Written Answers. - Grant Payments.
Macroom GAA Club was allocated grants of £5,000 in 1994, £10,000 in 1996 and a further £18,000 in 1997. Payment of these grants is subject to the club providing confirmation that the development proposed complies with the terms and conditions of the recreational facilities scheme.
A grant of £15,000 was allocated to Coachford AFC in 1997. On the basis of documentation submitted to date, an amount of £14,580 was paid to the club on 26 November 1997.
