John Perry

Question:

925 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Education and Science if his attention has been drawn to the substandard conditions that exist in the woodwork and construction prefab in Colaiste Mhuire, Ballymote, County Sligo where the students are severely hampered in their examination preparation due to the lack of space and poor tool stocks; if he will immediately sanction the new woodwork and construction room; if he will allocate funding for the urgently required list (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2017/98]

An application for a Woodwork construction studies room for Colaiste Mhuire, Ballymote, County Sligo has been received and is being examined by officials in my Department's planning and building unit.

The school authority will be contacted when a decision is reached on the matter.
