Vol. 486 No. 3

Written Answers. - Local Improvement Schemes.

P. J. Sheehan

Question:

224 Mr. Sheehan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if he will seriously consider making an allocation of £1 million to Cork County Council to enable it to clear off the huge backlog that exist in the county in relation to applications for local improvment schemes. [2749/98]

I have recently initiated a review of the local improvements scheme. I intend to announce 1998 local improvements scheme allocations to individual local authorities as soon as this is completed.
