284 Mr. Broughan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he will publish the report of the high level steering group on the regional technical college for Blanchardstown; the action, if any, he has taken to progress the development of the regional technical college; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The report on the high level steering group on the proposed new college at Blanchardstown was received on 23 December 1997. I have no plans to publish the report at this time.
Arising from the report's recommendations, I have already announced that the Government has given approval for the creation of an establishment board for the new institution. The function of the board will be to prepare an implementation plan for it, and to facilitate earliest possible start to all academic and research activities.
