Question:

51 Mr. Stagg asked the Minister for Public Enterprise if she will give a breakdown of allocations to individual airports from the total of £5 million which the Government has made available in 1998 for infrastuctural improvements at the regional airports in Donegal, Knock, Sligo, Waterford and Galway. [2952/98]

The purpose of recently announced grants for regional airports is to facilitate the completion in 1998 of essential upgrading of the infrastructure and facilities of these airports, thereby enhancing the prospects of attracting additional air services and tourism to these regions.

Allocations as approved for individual airports are shown in the following table:
