67 Mr. M. Higgins asked the Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation if he has received an application from the regional sports committee in Galway for grant assistance in 1998 to provide dressing room facilities at the centre; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3303/98]
My Department has no current application on hand from the regional sports centre for funding under the sports capital programme. An application form was sent to the director of the centre on 2 February and he was advised to complete and return the form no later than 5 p.m. today, 11 February 1998, the closing date for receipt of applications under the existing sports capital programme.
