112 Mr. McCormack asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government the position regarding the application by Carna/Kilkerrin water scheme, Connemara, County Galway for grant aid towards the scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3473/98]

A preliminary report for the proposed scheme has been submitted to my Department. Given the high level of commitments under the water and sewerage services investment programme, I cannot say when it may be possible to approve this proposal.
